Its that time of the year where a lot of preparation and brain storming goes into decor and working on accessories to go with the glitz and glam of the Wedding season. Well, yes!! I have been working on a series of wedding ideas and DIYs for the hobby ideas website, to go with the wedding theme- a bachelorette party, wedding gifts, wedding accessories and a couple of masks for a pre-wedding party.
The site has a wide range of mask making kits to choose from. These kits come with a set of pre-moulded masks, colours, brushes, etc along with a manual as to how can make things using the materials in the kit.
The mask parade kit that I have used, has four masks. Personalized designs can be created on these masks. One can paint different faces, characters. The design on the box and the instruction manual serve as inspirational ideas and also offer valuable leads. The fun part of these masks are that it allows the artist to paint in vivid designs in bright colours and actually wear the masks.
The contents in the kit are:
- plastic masks
- Tempera paints: 6 colours
- Acrylic base paint: 1
- Paint brush: 1
- Ribbon for tying
- Instruction manual.
In addition to the above, I have used the following materials for this group of projects:
- Chart Paper
- Fevicryl Sunflower Kit
- Fevicryl Fabric Glue
- Fevicryl 3D Cones- a couple of colours
- Fevicryl Acrylic Pearl Metallic Silver 351
- Fine Art Brush
- Fevicryl Glass Colours -Water Based
- Feathers
- Embellishments
