There’s so much of red and pink everywhere!! So much of warmth and Love!! Valentine’s Day is round the corner and I am back with a lovely blog post on a few DIYs. These DIYs are not really restricted to Valentine’s Day. You could celebrate love all year round and choose to make beautiful things for the one’s you love and care for.

This post has more of paper craft and a lot of young stuff!! There’s less technicality and skill and involves quick and easy DIYs which are so interesting that you’ll be tempted to make one of these!

VALENTINE’S DAY SHAKER CARD

A shaker card is a greeting card that contains a moving item in the front part of the card. Shaker cards are a rage right now in the world of card making!!

The idea is to sandwich tiny embellishments between the card paper and a vinyl sheet. Here’s how you can make a Shaker card for your Valentine:

SCRAPBOOK LAYOUTS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY:

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take..

But by the moments.. That take your breath away!!”

And how much fun will it be to document these breath-taking moments in a creative way?

Scrapbooks are a creative way of maintaining photographs and memories to cherish. “Scrapbooking” not only adds a personal touch to your albums, but is also a way to de-stress as you relive moments while working on your scrapbook.

I have put together 5 simple scrapbook designs based on the Valentine’s Day theme. You can check them out in the link below:

VALENTINE’S DAY KEEPSAKE:

The season is all about gifting cute stuff. A small mobile or wall hanging which works as a beautiful keepsake/charm is just the right thing that you can make for gifting.

This DIY has a couple of different mediums and a portion of Decoupage which makes it very interesting. Decoupage is a method of enhancing the look or beauty of a surface by using different papers. Read on to know more about this interesting DIY!!

PHOTO CANVAS:

When you start working with Decoupage, it catches on like a bug! And you can almost go on doing any amount of decoupage and probably even want to decoupage any surface that you come across.

Seriously!! And,  when its one of those lazy days that you feel like sitting down to make something but don’t really want to take too much effort.. it helps to take it easy and use shortcuts instead of sitting down to paint an entire canvas.

This photograph of me and my husband is one of my favorite! I feel it looks good as it is. In the sense I would never want to attempt painting this picture because its so perfect! So here’s how I made a PHOTO CANVAS using the photograph.

LOVE BIRDS:

A colorful DIY to make a colorful wall hanging to adorn your home! This one doubles up as an excellent Valentine’s Day surprise too!! This painting has been done on a de-starched cotton fabric. The base or background has been done using a simple technique of dyeing the fabric which is known as TIE-AND-DYE. This is followed by a simple painting of the silhouette of two birds once the background dries. For a detailed set of steps, you can check the photo tutorial:
