IDEA BOOK

I recently got my first copy of the Our Idea Book: India’s Premier Art & Craft Magazine. The first issue of the Idea Book is a plethora of a variety of art and craft related articles, ideas, interviews with artists/crafters, activities , colour and fun. Its great to sit back with a cup of coffee and flip through the colourful pages of a magazine that’s all and more about Art and Craft.

I received the iCraft Stencil and iCraft Cardstock  as free gifts along with India’s Premier Art & Craft Magazine: Our Idea Book

A couple of interesting inteviews with very well known artists and crafters like Rajni Chawla and Wendy Vecchi, The first copy Of “Our Idea Book” put together by Dr. Neha Sanwalka Rungta(Editor, Our Idea Book)  had a lot to explain about distress inks, Painting and Scrapbook inspiration, upcycling and mixed media. With a lot of Card Projects to inspire, I ended up making a few myself, using the freebies that I got with the book: A Stencil and set of papers.

The Book came with this set of iCraft Cardstock. I was so tempted to make cards out of these.

A lovely intricate iCraft stencil was sent along with this book. I used Chalk paints from Itsy Bitsy to get these designs onto the paper, using the stencil.

With the magical Dream Cut, I cut and Embossed these sheets and further sprayed Color Splash onto it.

I then used Fevicol to adhere the designed pieces onto the Cards.

A couple of Little Birdie embellishments, Fevicryl 3D outliners helped me complete the layout of the cards.

I then placed sentiments as required onto the cards.

Cards make wonderful keepsakes and gifts. Its also an amazing activity to sit together and do. I made these cards with my cousin Divya Shenoy. And we had a great time making these.
