With the commencement of the festive season, it’s very common that you sit down to plan gifts for your near and dear ones. It’s a wonderful feeling to make gifts and add a personal touch while giving away gifts.

Here are colorful potli bags with some applique work done on it.The design is simple Mandalas which have been sketched using a 3D outliner cone, on a printed fabric. I picked up a fabric which had  circular Mandala patterns on it. I decided to work on these, add a dash of color and use it in my projects. So, I first prepared these colorful Mandalas using Fevicryl 3D outliner cones.

Mandalas meditative designs. These are repetitive, circular patterns or figures which represent the universe and its harmony.

HOW DO YOU MAKE THESE GIFT POTLIS:

Use Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery cones of your choice to create circular designs on a fabric. I have taken a printed fabric on which I have used Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery cones to create these mandalas. Cut the designs out once the paint has dried.

Take a plain potli bag. Stick the fabric mandalas onto the bag using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. I have used a jute potli. The Fabric Glue works well on jute too.

Use a Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery cone of your choice to seal raw edges of the fabric. Allow this to dry.
