MEMORIES OF BANGALORE- Coffee painted coasters

Its been a blessed beginning of the year for me with this huge order from Radhika Mahalingaiah. 120 sets of coffee painted coasters for the 12th IGATE International Scrabble Tournament hosted by the Karnataka State Scrabble Association. 120 sets resulted in 480 individual pieces of coasters.

A write-up about the event in Deccan Herald

Titled “Memories of Bangalore” there were four designs in the set- LALBAGH, ULSOOR LAKE, NAMMA AUTO and IDLI-DOSA-VADA layed out using a design to represent the scrabble tiles. Each coaster was hand-painted using coffee and yes I have had a tough time time to let them cure and dry.

The event was held at the IGATE campus at Whitefield and was pretty much.. I would say.. a sophisticated event. With a lot of geniuses sitting down at a board and building words.

Not to miss out on thanking my wonderful family at home!! For being so supportive. And a huge thanks to my mother who has done half of the work in this project πŸ™‚
